Upon activating with water, sodium carbonate peroxyhydrate releases H2O2 which oxidizes pathogen cell structures on-contact. The residual sodium carbonate plays a preventative role by inhibiting the development of fungal mycelium and spores through changes in pH and osmotic pressure.
