East Hartford, CT— BioSafe Systems celebrates Earth Day this year by participating in a local environmental effort to clean up our community and the walking trail that runs parallel to the Connecticut River. The bank of the river is walking distance from our headquarters in East Hartford, CT, and Riverfront Recapture has been working to transform the overgrown and underappreciated riverside into four public parks connected by a walkway. The BioSafe Systems’ team in Connecticut got out of the office and joined the effort on April 19, 2023.
The parks host events like youth rowing clinics, political speakers, an annual food truck festival, the Hartbeat Music festival, Taste of the Caribbean & Jerk festival, Dragon Boat and Asian festival, and yoga in the park. With most of the events happening in the warmer months of spring, summer, and early fall, the clean-up takes place before the busy season and in coordination with one of the biggest environmental holidays of the year.
