As regions move into spring, snowmelt increases the risk of developing a common turf fungal infection called Snow Mold. Snow Mold can be classified as either white or pink and has various impacts on turf. Both types are characterized by circular, slimy patches of matted grass that may contain visible fungal threads. Pink Mold has a greater risk to turf health as it impacts the crowns and roots, along with the leaf blades.
ZeroTol® 2.0 is a broad-spectrum bactericide and fungicide formulated with sustainable chemistry for controlling a broad range of pathogens including those that cause Snow Mold, Typhula spp., and Fusarium spp. ZeroTol 2.0 improves turf health by reducing disease pressure, enabling optimized plant function. The two powerful active ingredients, H2O2 and peroxyacetic acid (PAA), work in unison through contact activity to fungal spores and structures, reducing populations of dormant and active disease organisms.
For Pink Snow Mold: spray in early fall to reduce the number of dormant spores. Treat throughout the winter. May be applied to frozen ground. For more information, go to H2604 ZeroTol Canada Golf Sales Sheet.pdf
