EAST HARTFORD, CT – Canada confirms insect-pathogenic bio-insecticide BioCeres G WP registered to control emergency infestation of root aphids. This is an especially important solution for indoor Cannabis (marihuana) growers in Canada struggling with rice root aphids on organic cannabis.
BioCeres G WP uses the Beauveria bassiana ANT-03 strain fungus, a PMRA registered product, approved for organic production and perfectly suited in IPM programs. When the Beauveria bassiana fungus comes in contact with the host, the spores germinate, penetrating the exoskeleton of the insect, infecting the pests’ body and killing it.
BioCeres G WP is effective in managing detrimental infestations by rice root aphids when applied via soil drench or foliar spray for all pest pressures. By incorporating BioCeres G WP into IPM programs, the root aphid infestations can be controlled in a number of days.
